The project seeks to ensure the preservation of the Mediterranean tortoise (Testudo graeca) by consolidating the efforts of herpetologists, conservation biologists, government agencies, NGOs and the general public. The main aim of the project is creation of conditions for saving populations and subspecies variety of Mediterranean tortoise in the Caucasus.
