School Bird Protector Clubs (Birdwatching Clubs) for Nature Protection

Town/RegionCountryCategoriesDate

The project focuses on involving the local population (schoolchildren and teachers) in the process of white-headed duck conservation. This will be achieved by establishing two model children’s bird protector clubs through awareness raising. The age of children-participants is from 8 to 14 years.

Through our plan, the clubs will become not just an arena for eco-education, but also for local initiative groups on the conservation of birds, particularly the white-headed duck. Thanks to this project, the clubs will first learn about development and how to plan and undertake environmental
projects. Secondly, the clubs will obtain the materials to bring their environmental project plans to life. We expect the establishment of two clubs will have a significant impact for the development of these young people in the long-term, and therefore the conservation of the habitat of the white-
headed duck.
