The aim of the project is to promote and expand Community Conservation Areas and community based natural resource management approach in Mongolia.
Assessing Snow Leopards and their Corridor Habitats in Nepal
The project will assess snow leopard corridor lying between the Everest and Annapurna Himalayan ranges. This will contribute to the long-term goal, that is, to establish “snow leopard-friendly communities” along the Himalayas of Nepal.
Towards a Better Understanding of Conflict Management in Tropical Conservation Units: The Case of Giant Otters and Fishermen in the Northeast Brazilian Amazon
The aim of the project is to obtain baseline data to understand conflicts between otters and fishermen in a tropical conservation unit and its surroundings in the Brazilian Amazon.
Ecology of Rusty Spotted Cat in Kevadi Reserved Forest of Western India with Emphasis Given to Population Status and Radio Telemetry Phase (I)
Endemic in the Indian Sub-continent, but still not sighted and reported from its distribution range, it is imperative to identify areas throughout the species’ range that have optimum, relatively large and secure population. Data on distribution, population status & trends, and relative abundance are essential for the Rusty spotted cat. In the outcome of the first RSG we have come to know that, although Kevadi has a sizeable population of this cat compared to any other distribution site within its distribution range; due to its elusiveness and nocturnal behaviour, many questions of its ecology have yet to be answered before making any definitive conservation guide line for this smallest of all cats.
Environmental Variability and Population Regulation in Guanaco Populations from Patagonia
This project aims at exploring guanaco population dynamics within protected areas in order to start building up information needed to back management recommendations.

Elephant Habitat Restoration Programme and Human-Elephant Conflict Mitigation in Mayurjharna Elephant Reserve, West Bengal, India
The project is continuation of 1st RSG project in Mayurjharna Elephant Reserve. The project aims to enumerate elephant population, survey the identified elephant route to review the fodder status and understand the dependency of villages on that. The project aims to conserve the restored and remaining natural elephant habitat and implement scientific and traditional methods to mitigate human-elephant conflict in sample villages through interactive community awareness programme.
