In Azad Kashmir. ( Pakistan held) the local population is facing a serious threat of climate change. and still the communities has not adapted and change. The ecosystems are under great threats and people are
facing the livelihood vulnerabilities. To cope with this situation there is a need to create and strengthen the Protected areas network for a long term environmental safeguarding measure.

Community involvement in finding solutions as opposed to protection will be more sustainable in providing answers to climate change. Working towards developing community conservation areas around natural resources like swamps is the best alternative since it promotes native ownership as opposed to protection which I feel alleniates communities thus exerting political pressure on natural.
