Awareness Campaign for the Protection of endangered Great Apes in the Tubah Upland Forest

This project aims to help in the conservation of the great apes population in Tubah Upland Forest through community awareness campaign.

Empowerment and capacity building of community fishery committee in undertaking community-based aquatic resources (wetland) management and conservation.

The overall aim is to empower the locally elected community fishery management committee to improve wetland conservation by establishing a fish sanctuary where there is no human use to crate a safe ground for economically important wild aquatic living organisms to generate and a habitat for a number of globally threatened waterfowl species.

Integrated Community Biodiversity Conservation, Training & Awareness to Protect Safe Habitats for Chimpanzees & Monkeys of Togo Plateau Range) (ICBCTA) -Ghana

The project’s primary aim is to improve the environment, livelihood and health of communities’ surrounding the (Togo Plateau Tropical Ranges) zone of Ghana through the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources including medicinal plants. The global environment objective is to identify, monitor and conserve key components of the biodiversity of the (Togo Plateau Tropical Ranges) zone.

Using conservation education as a tool to increase public awareness and change behaviour for the conservation of lowland gorilla populations in the Itombwe Natural Reserve.

This initiative will create a new model for conservation in Latin America: decentralized park management that puts local governments in charge, and allows them to use incentives, market-based management tools, and business planning models to improve local livelihoods, protect the biological asset base, and maximize revenues.
