Blakiston’s Fish Owl in Southern Primorye: living next-door to people

This project is aimed at conserving dispersed pairs of Blakiston’s Fish Owl in densely populated areas of Southern Primorye, Far East, Russia.

Building a local community conservation group and establishing ecotourism activities around the Ondiri Swamp, Kenya’s only quacking bog

The overall aim of my project is to develop a proactive community conservation group for Ondiri Swamp, Kenya’s only quacking bog. This freshwater wetland is a catchment area and source of the Nairobi River which traverses the city of Nairobi. The project will rehabilitate the swamp as a bird conservation habitat as well as encouraging ecotourism activities.

Awareness Program for Conservation of Threatened Wetland Birds of Chitwan National Park (CNP), Central Nepal

The project aims to create awareness for the conservation of wetland birds in the villages adjacent to wetlands focusing primarily on influential people, tribes and school children.
