Conservation of the Ghanaian Endemic Frog Species, Arthroleptis Krokosua, Ghana

The overall goal of this project is to contribute to the management and long-term survival of Arthroleptis krokosua by curbing habitat destruction within the species ranges.

Forest Canopies as Safe Havens from Amphibian Chytrid Fungus, Phase II: Enigmatic Dispersal Mechanisms and Environmental Distribution

This project strives to elucidate the environmental distribution of amphibian chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) throughout Cusuco National Park, Honduras while also assessing the relative significance of four possible dispersal pathways including: amphibians, arthropods, wind/rain, and human locomotion. The resulting information will allow us to evaluate the risk of chytrid exposure faced by each of the park’s 16 endangered amphibian species based on amphibian behavior, distribution, and life history and evaluate various modes of pathogen dispersal which occur within the natural environment.

Conservation of the Critically Endangered Conraua Derooi in Ghana

This project aims at conserving a Critically Endangered frog (Conraua derooi) from an imminent extinction threat due to human consumption and habitat destruction in a West African forest.

Diagnosing Spatial Patterns of the Bullfrog Invasion in the Atlantic Forest Biome of Southern Brazil

This project aims to characterize the spatial distribution of the invasive species Lithobates catesbeianus, in the southern Atlantic Forest of Brazil.

Annual Assessment of Chytrid Fungus Prevalence amongst Endangered Native Fijian Ground Frog Populations on Viwa – Fiji Islands

The primary aim of this project is to find out if Chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) occurs amongst endangered Fijian ground frog (Platymantis vitiana) populations. This key investigation has to be completed before we can establish a conservation management plan for P. vitiana.

Conservation of Two Critically Endangered Frog Species in the Forest Zone of South Western Ghana

The project aims at conserving two Critically Endangered frogs through habitat restoration efforts and involvement of local communities in conservation planning and management.

The Golden Poison Frog of Supata Project: Implementation and Development of a Local Conservation Strategy of Amphibian Biodiversity in the Eastern Andes, Colombia

The overall aim of this project is to implement a local conservation strategy supported in an active participation of local community and the amphibian monitoring, which will contribute to safeguard the Supatá´s amphibians and their natural habitats.

Investigation of Forest Canopies as Possible Safe Havens from Amphibian Chytrid Fungus (Batrachochytrium Dendrobatidis): Hope in the Midst of a Global Amphibian Extinction Crisis

My project aims to elucidate the role of the international aquarium trade as a possible global dispersal engine for amphibian chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis). In doing so, I intend to produce results which will help slow the progression of the current global amphibian extinction crisis which is being exacerbated by this emerging infectious disease.

An Assessment of Herpetofaunal Diversity, Distribution and Conservation Status in Barail Hill Range, Northeast India

We plan to continue herpetofaunal Inventory at the higher altitudes of Barail Hill Range (1000-2500m). Delineating the distribution pattern and working with local communities the project aims to develop a basis necessary for the long time conservation of the Herpetofauna of Barail Hill Range.
