The ongoing Integrated Conservation and Development Project (ICDP) at the northern periphery of the Dja Faunal Reserve, Cameroon, consists mainly of a great ape research project (Projet Grands Singes) in a forest area of about 60km², protected by the local communities.

The current project aims to set up a sustainable management plan for exploitation of the prey species in the hunting zone between the villages and the great ape research site.

A socio-economic study, with emphasis on activity budgets, nutrition profiles and revenue creation, will be carried out in three communities involved in the ongoing DP, and will provide the necessary feedback.
