Montane forest birds will be studied by videotaping nests, measuring other aspects of breeding biology, and observations of birds away from nests.

The result will be the documentation of previously unknown natural history and breeding biology of South American montane forest species that face increasing threats of habitat fragmentation and destruction.

This intensive baseline data will be made available to locals, NGOs and scientists worldwide.  It is hoped that our presence in the area will serve to attract outside money and foster local support for the conservation of these habitats.
