The aim of this study is to assess the potential importance of chimpanzees and gorillas at dispersing seeds in BINP.

The team will assess the relative abundance of the seed dispersed by chimpanzees as compared to gorillas and will research their contribution to forest regeneration and the effects of gut passage on seed germination. It will attempt to describe seed dispersal patterns of chimpanzees and gorillas in terms of dispersal quality, quantity and analyze the impact of chimpanzees and gorillas in terms of seed predation.
