The El Chaco Forest Regeneration Project

By propagating tree species surviving in primary forest remnants, the team aims to regenerate the original forest which formerly would have covered Ilalo Mountain, an extinct volcano near Quito, Ecuador.

They are currently reforesting two properties totalling 15 hectares currently managed by the Foundation, and are also establishing a botanical garden to house species potentially in danger of extinction, rescued from Andean forest relicts elsewhere in Ecuador.
