Our project will survey amphibians and butterflies and provide information on habitat diversity and human impacts in the future area of the Hateg Geopark, Romania. The project has three components: research, education and conservation.

The expected outputs are detailed inventory data of the two target taxa that are good bio-indicators of environmental status and habitat type description that will allow monitoring the changes in species composition and abundance. It will raise awareness and involvement of local communities and will provide useful data and information to the park administration for the preparation of the Park Management Plan.
