The aim of our project is to make an observation of unique rare broadleaved forests of Mezynsky National Nature Park, which are found side by side with arable lands and settlements under anthropogenic influence.

Arid Lichens from the Red Data Book of Ukraine – Studying, Conservation and Perspectives

Our aim is to revise all known in literature localities of arid lichens listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine and discovering of new ones. Some vulnerable lichens need special taxonomy revision, because of their areals overlap with those of morphologically similar wide-distributed species. For all lichens evaluation of rarity will be access according with categories of IUCN. Another important part of planned work is distribution of conservation ideas between local populations (posters, lectures). Besides we will provide additional information about arid lichens diversity to the protected areas and prepare objectives for Micro-reserves creations in places, where rare arid lichens occur.

Fauna of Bats as an Indicator of the Most Valuable Natural Complexes in Chernobyl Exclusion Zone Worthy of Legislative Protection (Ukraine)

The aim of this project is to gain results of a bat fauna survey to elaborate proposals of the lands conservation and protection in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, as important habitats for many rare and endangered species in Europe.

The International Year of Forests in the Northeastern Ukraine: Establishing of Long-Term Program on Forest Biodiversity Conservation

We aim to create the network of small protected patches of old forests outside of nature reserves and to limit forest harvesting in Eastern Ukraine. Beside this we are going to inform publicity about the state of local forests.
