Project Update: March 2009

Salvadora persica plants ready for plantation 24 th Sept 2008.
The RSG follow up grant work in Kutch is going on very well and we have already completed the plantation of 12000 saplings of Salvadora persica, Acacia nilotica, Tecomella undulata Cordia rohtii, Neem, Delonix regia, and other 5 species of plants in the Schools and in the desert areas of Kutch.
We have organised 8 nature education camps and only two nature camps are remaining, we will be organising the remaining camps in March 2009.
The responce of Nature education camps in Moti-Virani, Nani Virani, Sukhpur, Devisar, Rameshwar, Mangvana, Varamseda, Schools was very good, The plantation in Schools have now grown up and the Saplings planted last year are now 4-6 feet tall. The plantation in desert area is also doing well with a success varying from 50-70 %.
