Project Update: December 2008
I wish to share with Rufford Small Grants Foundation what happened today. KVEDO Inc was today invited to sign the a Grant Contract as a recipient of the Japanese Government's Grassroots Grants for Human Security Projects (GGP) at the Japanese Embassy in Port Moresby today at 10:00 am.
KVEDO Inc has secured this grant to develop 6 new permanent classrooms for the Nanga Emmanuel Primary School in Kokop Village. Thanks to the Rufford Small Grants Foundation for supporting KVEDO Inc over the years with three separate grants so far (2004, 2006, and 2008) for worthwhile environment projects which has set the precedent (for our record and reputation) among donor agencies in the country and overseas. Based on the solid support Rufford Small Grants Foundation has rendered KVEDO Inc, the Government of Japan has offered a major grant to develop classroom buildings for my village-based primary school that is to be completed in March 2009.
I sincerely thank the Rufford Small Grants Foundation for showing faith, helping us grow, and proofed to other donors that KVEDO Inc is truly an agent for development projects in the Western Highlands Province and Papua New Guinea through the successful draw-down and implementation of foreign donor
aid grants.
