Project Update: August 2009
All the 10 nature education camps were organised for the local schools. Over 12,000 saplings of plants were planted in schools, villages and in the wild. Five kg of seeds of Slavadora persica and Cordia rothii were sown in soil in the saline desert areas after the first shower of the monsoon in July 2009.
On 4th and 5th April 2009, a wildlife photo exhibition was organised in Bhuj - 3,000 people, including locals and students, visited the 2 day exhibition. Our plantation programme successfully covered 20 villages and schools.
